West Suffolk Consortium for Voluntary Organisations

West Suffolk Consortium For Voluntary Organisations is a network of various representatives from the voluntary and statutory sectors who work together to provide help and support services to voluntary and community groups in West Suffolk.

The consortium consists of the following organisations (please click on the links to find out more about each organisation and the work that they are involved in):

West Suffolk Local Strategic Partnership
Hazel Pidsley, Chief Officer of Bury St Edmunds Volunteer Centre and lead partner of WSCVO is the representative on the West Suffolk Local Strategic Partnership. She sits on the Board, Community Strategy Steering Group and is a member of the Forum, she also is a member of the Health Inequalities Network, Community Engagement/Changing Needs of Communities and Mental Health action groups and chairs the  Community Chest sub group.
The object of this role is to ensure the representation and inclusion of the voluntary and community sector at all levels in the partnership. This has has been achieved by gaining three additional vcs representatives on the Board.

Funding Advice and Development Surgery Dates
If your voluntary organisation is in need of advice about possible funding sources, guidance on how to complete funding application forms or any other aspect of funding book an hour with Hazel Pidsley (Accredited Funding Advisor).  We also offer advice on charity law, policies and procedures. Book a place on one of the free funding surgeries.

Local Infrastructure partners
WSCVO work in partnership with a number of other local Infrastructure partnerships in Suffolk who deliver local support services to the voluntary and community sector.
The Local Infrastructure Partnership Lead Network have been working together to build capacity into each area, and have secured Big Lottery funding for five years through the BASIS programme to ensure equity of provision across Suffolk. 

Ben Matthews, Marketing and Communications Officer and Gill Peat, Partnership Development Officer will be contacting many organisations to discuss needs and areas for development.
