Opening Doors

Opening Doors is a supported volunteering project for people who have extra support needs such as mild learning disabilities.

We support volunteers to access the same opportunities as anyone else through giving support such as help with interviews and filling in forms, training and one-to-one job coaching.

If you would like to see our easy language website which will tell you more about the project, please

Admin Angels

The “Admin Angels” are a group of volunteers who meet weekly to help local charities and other voluntary organisations with tasks such as collating and packing newsletters, sticking labels on envelopes, packing CDROMS and much more. This is an opportunity for volunteers to come together in a social setting, to make friends, learn and to support many activities and become part of the Bury St Edmunds Volunteer Centre.

Gardening Project

Volunteers with learning disabilities are welcome to volunteer on our gardening project at Hollow Road on Thursday mornings. There are many opportunities to learn new skills, and meet new people.
We are developing other sites at Hardwick Heath and Nowton Park.

If you are interested in knowing more please speak to Tina 01284 766126
